Ladies we have all the power. We book our family vacations and as Easter and the summer break approaches use your money to show the airlines and the administration that we are not going to go to the airports and be patted down, humiliated and let pedophiles look at our children’s bodies. The new scanners that Janat Napolitano wants to use show body parts including the breast and penis. It is just disgusting that we citizens are going to be treated this way. Who are the security guards? Pedophiles will be flocking to these jobs so they can see your child’s naked body. And then if they believe you are suspect you are in a no win situation where you have to allow them to pat you down, touch your body and touch your child’s body. One woman told me she recently had a security guard touch her inner thighs up to her pelvic bone because they saw something suspicious and it was her zipper. She was complaining and she was told to shut up or get arrested. What is next cavity checks? Why on earth are we allowing this? The only way is to not fly. To show them we will not tolerate this treatment.
We are patting down young girls but not profiling Middle Eastern Men? And it’s going to get worse. Bring on the body scanners. Where you can see a full outline of a woman’s breasts, man’s genitalia and your children’s bodies.
So a guy with known terror connection who bought an airline ticket in cash and boarded an international flight without a passport is allowed on a transatlantic flight?
While Americans are walking around without shoes on and Grandmothers and Children are being pulled out of line and patted down by Government workers?
I just heard a story about a father and young daughter pulled out of a security line. They patted down his daughter and went through her Hello Kitty backpack. He asked them “why.” They said “Because you look friendly.” Why are we bothering teaching “good touch bad touch” to our kids when they can be patted down by strangers in public because of political corrected-ness?
Meanwhile, four Middle Eastern men behind this family went through the security line without being stopped.
Yesterday, Janet “Pat” Napolitano told reporters during a briefing that the United States is scheduled to deploy 300 additional advanced imaging scanners at U.S. airports in 2010, and may deploy more.
From The Guardian…The rapid introduction of full body scanners at British airports threatens to breach child protection laws which ban the creation of indecent images of children… Ministers now face having to exempt under 18’s from the scans or face the delays of introducing new legislation to ensure airport security staff do not commit offences under child pornography laws.
Doctors go through years of de-sensitivation training before they start doing physical exams (2nd year med school). And here we are going to let government workers looking at images? What training are they going to go through?
Enough is Enough!
Enough is enough is right! I, for one, have had enough. From now on, vacations will be to places we can go by car and we will drive ourselves. The TSA insists that the images will be deleted immediately and never printed out. Yea, sure. Just how long will it be before we see some celebrity’s image up on the internet, or children’s images on child pornography sites? It is very easy for the operator of the scanner to take a photo of their computer monitor with their cellphone and upload that image to wherever they want.
We do have the power and I agree – DON’T FLY.
I love your spirit, but boycotting flying won’t be enough. There are plans for scanners at train stations, sports areas, mobile scanners that can drive through a city so the perverts can “scan” whomever they want, someone just walking on the street. In addtion, there are plans for road “check points.” Imagine driving on your family vacation and having to stop at a check point manned by whomever the government agency has hired, and having to spread out in front of the scanner, be zapped with radiation, and have the guy/gal at the scanner see you and your family and kids without clothes. These scanners take crisp, detailed pictures that will show everything. This is abuse of all, with liberty and justice for none. Please call your Congress and instruct your wayward servants there to end this virtual strip search. The scanners are a scam. They would NOT have caught the “underware” bomber. The scanners are only to enrich companies, lobbyists, and to give a large group of perverts the chance to get paid to look at America naked.
