This July 4th I find myself feeling very sad for America. I am afraid of our debt, afraid for my children, afraid we have lost the American Dream. I was working with my daughter just last month, talking to her about how this country was created. What the founding fathers had in mind for us all. And as I sit on the porch at my Charleston beach house I am so grateful for what this beautiful country has give me, and I just want the same opportunities for my children and yours. My husband and I worked hard, have been good people, followed the rules, and I believe we have been rewarded. We believe in GOD and we believe in the concept of America. Sadly, in just the past ten years, I would say, we have been heading down hill and fast. From morality to financially, I believe we are heading the wrong place. I pray for us all. And I hope that today, when we are all eating our burgers and watching the fireworks, that we remember the words of the Declaration of Independence and how we need to protect our independence. And to me that means independence from China. I was disgusted to read new bridges in San Francisco were being out sourced to China. Now, bridge building, is a staple job to put our men to work. China is also making our steel. Yes, US Steel is manufactured in China. How sickening is that. If I was in charge, in three days we would be back on our feet as a nation because I would demand everything be made again in America. Put our husbands to work. Create jobs here now. We need to build America. I wish you all a beautiful July 4th. God Bless America. God Bless our troops. I pray for all of our military families. They need better pay and more protection. We all have to demand this.
