America is knocked off its pedestal!

So we are no longer a super power? The S&P has just down-graded America. Our triple A status is now only double A. Back in April Standard & Poor warned our government that they were considering dropping our top notch credit rating because our country was in too much debt. In light of the recent debt ceiling deal that passed last Tuesday, S&P concluded the deal just wasn’t going to cut it. To bring this home, girls we have all lost our gold card. How embarrassing. Really. I am just sick. Our unemployment rates are over ten percent. There is no hope for anyone finding a job. And this week the stock market lost 10 percent of it’s value. Most of us really are just trying to enjoy our lives. We just want to make breakfast, kiss our hubbies off to work, play with the kids, and know we can cut a check for the mortgage and have some money left over for dinner and a movie once in a while. But the game has changed. I have been saying it here on this site for three years now. It is time to get serious ladies. What are we going to do to fix this situation? What are we going to demand for our children? What will America be in ten years from now? For now though, it is time to get back into survival mode. A storm is coming. Prepare!
