I just read the latest fad syndrome, the “Quarter Life Crisis.” Now you don’t have to wait for a mid life crisis. According to the latest psycho babble many young people in their twenties are suffering from this crisis. That is why it is called “quarter life” I guess we should all be so lucky to live to 100. This new crisis is a result from one woman interviewed “because my generation was told we could do anything and we end up with these dead end desk jobs and not in the big careers we expected.” Wow! Talk about the me generation. Are these the same kids who are complaining they can’t get jobs? The problem is today every twenty year old thinks they are going to be Kim Kardashian or Kobe Bryant. The days of getting a regular job with benefits, the pride in working your way up, the modest lifestyle, I guess are out of style. Good thing they didn’t talk to me in my twenties. With my Masters Degree I had to start at the bottom making less than 20k and I was treated like a slave working 12 hours a day and you know what? I was happy to do it. My husband’s first job he volunteered for and had no salary, with a college diploma. So to the spoiled kids today, be happy if you can get any job, do it great, work 150 percent, give it your all, and hope you can buy a house, live a decent life and be happy.
