Every day I wake up I am happy to open my eyes. Instead of thinking that I am pushing 50 I am so grateful that I get the chance to be enjoying my forties. I make the beds and when I feel overwhelmed by my son’s messy room I am so grateful that I have children. In the shower instead of being upset by my cellulite, I thank GOD for my body, that so far it is cancer free. When I put on my make-up and see the beginning wrinkling of my skin I believe it makes me look even more sexier. I send my children off to school and I am so lucky I live in a country where they have an opportunity to be educated in a safe environment where they are free to express their opinions. I call my husband at work to say good morning and I thank GOD he has a job. I clean the breakfast dishes as I look out over my beautiful patio and pool. I look across the grass and see all the red roses I have planted through the years and I feel happy. I am so grateful to have a home. We really have such a short time here on earth to make a difference. Every single day matters. So what will my contribution be today. I pray for courage, patience, and I ask GOD to use me for his will. Why am I here and what does he want me to do. I hope I am living up to his expectations. I try every day. I try to listen. I am aware. I pray to do the best I can do.
